Midnight Note

Receive What Was Given

Let one quiet kindness reach its destination without being minimized or repaid.

R Richard Nkwenti 1 min read

Before sleep, notice the love that arrived without ceremony. A message. A patient silence. Food prepared. A door held open. Someone making room for your complicated truth.

We can become so fluent in longing that received love passes unnoticed. The heart keeps inventory of absence and forgets to record provision.

Let gratitude correct the ledger tonight. This does not erase what you needed and did not receive. It simply gives weight to what was present.

Allow one kindness to reach its destination. Receive it fully, without minimizing its size or rushing to repay it. Love also lives in the grace of being received.
