Purpose Has Ordinary Clothes
Purpose often enters the day dressed as careful attention to ordinary work.
Purpose is often imagined in ceremonial clothing: the grand calling, the visible contribution, the moment everything makes sense. Most days, it arrives dressed as attention.
It asks you to prepare carefully, answer honestly, care for what has been entrusted to you, and finish one useful thing. Its scale may be hidden from everyone, including you.
Do not postpone meaning until the stage is large enough. A life of purpose is assembled from ordinary acts given a clear intention.
Look at what is already in your hands this morning. Somewhere inside the responsibility you keep dismissing as small, a larger life may be practicing its form.
