Forgive the Human Scale

Limits belong to the human creature and do not cancel the duty of repair.

R Richard Nkwenti 1 min read

You could not answer every need today. You missed a cue, lost patience, or carried your own ache into a room that required gentleness. This is not permission to avoid repair. It is recognition of scale.

A human nervous system cannot hold the whole world's sorrow without trembling. A human day cannot contain every worthy act. Limits are part of the creature, not an insult to its goodness.

Make the needed apology. Learn what the moment can teach. Then release the fantasy that perfection would have made you more lovable.

Tonight, belong to humanity without demanding exemption from its limits.
