Open the Hand Slowly
Release can honor what mattered while making room for an unburdened future.
Letting go is rarely one clean gesture. The hand opens, closes, and opens again. A familiar hope returns. An old argument asks for one more hearing. The future feels briefly less certain without the weight you knew.
Move slowly enough to remain honest. Release does not need contempt. What once mattered can be honored without being carried forever.
Begin with one finger of the grip: one object, one expectation, one private rehearsal. Make a little space and see what breathes there.
Freedom may enter quietly, not as triumph but as the first sensation of an unburdened hand.
