On Stillness
Stillness is not passivity. It is attention without agenda.
Stillness is often mistaken for doing nothing. It is closer to listening without deciding in advance what you want to hear.
In a life of constant motion, stillness can feel like a risk — as though the world will move on without you. It will not. Most of what we call urgency is habit dressed as necessity.
Be still for a moment. Let the noise settle like sediment. What remains, once the agitation clears, is usually the thing that was always true and that you were too busy to hear.
You do not have to act on it today. Just hearing it is enough.
