Begin From Full Breath
Rest can be the condition from which wise effort begins.
The day does not become more worthy because you enter it already depleted. Exhaustion is not a ceremonial offering required by serious work.
Before reaching for speed, find a full breath. Drink water. Feel the ground. Ask what pace would allow attention to remain human by evening.
Rest is not only what happens after effort. It can be the condition from which wise effort begins. A restored mind sees options that urgency overlooks and hears limits before they become injury.
Carry some spaciousness into the first task. Let the quality of your presence matter as much as the quantity of what gets done.
