Loss Has No Straight Line
A returning wave of grief is an encounter, not a prophecy.
Grief does not respect the diagrams drawn for it. It circles, recedes, returns through music, weather, or an ordinary phrase. This is not regression. Love has encountered a new doorway.
The wish to be finished with grief can become another form of suffering. Healing may mean developing room for the return rather than preventing it.
Can you meet today's wave without turning it into a prophecy about tomorrow?
