Instinct Needs an Education

Listen inwardly, then ask the inward voice to show its work.

R Richard Nkwenti 1 min read

An instinct can carry wisdom, prejudice, memory, or fear. Its speed is not proof of its truth. The inner voice becomes trustworthy through examination.

Notice its history. Does it sharpen in danger and soften in safety? Does it repeat an old wound whenever intimacy appears? Does evidence deepen it or dissolve it?

A wise person listens inwardly, then asks the inward voice to show its work.
